Instructions
I know this site already has a margarita recipe but, honestly....Do you think by just adding lime juice it will be drinkable?? It will be real sour s#*%t u know. u don't believe me? Try that recipe and u'll see.. So here's the recipe we use in Restaurant la cantina in Spain. Make a sour mix by taking 1.5 cups of water and 1.5 cups sugar and boil it until the sugars dissolved. Juice 3 lemons and 6 limes and add the juice (2 cups aprox.) to the syrup. chill it. Put 3 shot glasses of ur sour mix in a shaker add 1 shot tequila and a 1/2 shot of cointreau. throw in the ice and shake it well. Pour it into a salt rim glass. Now u'll have something that A: doesn't taste like sour s%&*t and B: has just enough alcohol to get u happy.
Use big cubicles for ice cuz small or round cubicles won't give u the desired effect.
Don't settle for substitutes with your sour mix. Trust me, nothing will taste as authentic and nice as ur own freshly juiced lemons and limes.
